Cyclone Burevi changes speed and path, Sri Lanka on alert

The Meteorology Department of Sri Lanka says that there has been a slight change in the path of Cyclone "Burevi".

The Meteorology Department said that the cyclone was expected to enter the country near Trincomalee this evening or at night, but at present the system is likely to enter the country near Mullaitivu and is expected make landfall as it moves inland from the sea.

The Meteorology Department said that people should be on high alert as the cyclone is expected to increase rainfall and wind speed as it moves across the country.
