Sri Lanka's Minister of Justice, President’s Counsel Ali Sabry said the ministry is focusing on the reform of criminal law, civil law as well as Muslim law in implementing the government’s “one country, one law” concept.

The Minister said that the laws governing the marriage and property matters of Muslims should be changed in this manner and that he has not forgotten the task.

The Minister pointed out that the Ministry of Justice has recently appointed sub-committees to formulate and update the existing laws to suit the country and those Law Reform Committees will make the amendments to the current Civil Laws and Criminal Laws.
