The Will to Succeed
Let the will to succeed take you to heights anew,
Let the will to succeed take you to heights anew,
And the passion to excel drive you to attainment,
Let nothing come between you and yourself,
In the quest for glory and contentment.
For the quiet of the heart and the peace of the mind,
Will not be there without the striving,
Like a restful night demands a full working day,
An equilibrium between work and play,
And the heart is at it's silent best,
When you put it through a vigorous test,
Like the pinnacle you reach,
The mountain -top,
with commas aplenty and then the stop,
And the eyes close and the mind dreams,
of the many you crossed, those rivers and streams
of hurdles that willy-nilly came your way
And destiny it's role quietly play,
In those moments of quiet reflection
Will you, Ashok, be able to say
You gave it all, you gave it your best?
Cos only then will be yours
that well – earned peaceful rest
