Nepali expatriates in Bangladesh have arranged a consignment containing medical supplies for their home country. Banshidhar Mishra, Nepal’s envoy to Bangladesh, received the supplies in Dhaka.

The consignment consists of ten oxygen concentrators, ten oxy therapy sets, five CPAC, and ten flowmeters with humidifiers, a statement from the Nepali embassy in Dhaka informed.

Tika Limbu, on behalf of the Nepali expatriates, expressed satisfaction for assisting the Nepali government with health equipment and assured that the support by the diaspora would be continued in the days ahead.

Mishra expressed his sincere gratitude to the community there for their solidarity with their people and the government of Nepal dealing with a significant rise in Covid -19 cases.

A chartered flight from Dhaka to Kathmandu shipped the consignment along with other health materials assistance provided by Bangladesh Army to Nepali Army, the embassy informed. 

The Nepali diaspora in other countries has also been helping the country by sending emergency medical supplies.
