Vendetta

More naked never the intention

Vendetta

More naked never the intention
Than in the intent of revenge,
Blood curdling in the veins, crying out
To solemnly pledge and ruthlessly avenge.

No emotion was ever so sordid
Within the human frame,
As is the ugliness of Vendetta
What an awful crying shame!

Where art thou, O Mercy
Sheltered, somewhere, in God’s heart ?
Is that why Man today
Is from healing, so far apart

An eye for an eye or a tooth for a tooth
Must never a basis become,
Else, an insensate Man will ever more
From head to toe, turn numb.

O Mortal man, will you not understand
Man is one and you no God around,
Driven you are by the basest of passions
Traces of you might never be found.

Justice lies in the Court of the Almighty
So, does the grant of Mercy,
If Vendetta was in each one’s heart
We’d all be just history.
