Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen is set to visit India on January 27 to finalize Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Dhaka trip in March.

Modi is likely to arrive in Dhaka on March 26 this year on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration of Bangladesh's independence.

Momen will also attend a foreign office consultation meeting in New Delhi during his visit on January 27-29.

The Bangladesh Foreign Secretary will also hold a meeting with his Indian counterpart Harsh Vardhan Shringla, focusing on the issues like connectivity, information technology and ways to expedite line of credit, added the officials of Bangladesh foreign affairs seeking anonymity.

Water sharing of trans-border rivers including the Teesta and unsettled land border-related issues are also expected to be discussed.

The decision of his visit has primarily been revealed through a joint statement, issued immediately after the December 17 virtual meeting between Bangladesh Premier Sheikh Hasina and Modi.
