A Bangladeshi migrant worker was shot at and wounded in Lebanon during a commotion among Palestinians over the Israeli aggression. The victim was identified as Kulsum Begum (41), daughter of Suruj Miah of Charsundar village under Palash sub-district of Narsingdi, The Daily Star reported.
She is now undergoing treatment at Rafik Hariri University Hospital in Beirut. An attending doctor said she is out of danger.
The incident took place at Harbor area, adjacent to Sidon district in Leban
Kulsum and a few Lebanese people sustained bullet injuries when protesters fired from a procession organized by Palestinians against Israeli aggression.
Kulsum said she was returning to her room after working at her employer's house when she sustained the bullet wound.
Local Red Cross members later rescued her and sent her to a local hospital from where she was shifted to Rafik Hariri University Hospital as her condition deteriorated.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh embassy in Lebanon said they are in constant touch with the hospital authorities.
