Commercial and cargo flights will be allowed to operate to Sri Lanka without a restricted schedule from December 26, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has said.

The restrictions on flights imposed on flights entering the country due to COVID-19 will be lifted to recommence international flight operations, CAA chairman Upul Dharmadasa noted.

He added that four airports will be kept open in the country as part of this move.
