China has said it was working closely with Sri Lankan authorities to encourage collaboration among biotech companies of the two countries to produce a covid vaccine in the island nation.
The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka tweeted plans of producing Covid 19 vaccines in Sri Lanka in response to a query by a Twitter user on whether it can provide 10-12 million doses of vaccine doses to Sri Lanka.
“The Embassy is working closely with Sri Lankan authorities to encourage bio-tech companies from (China and Sri Lanka) to collaborate on vax filling lines in the island,” the tweet said.
