At least seven people died when an explosion rocked Moghbazar area in Bangladesh capital Dhaka city on Sunday evening, media reports said.
The explosion left 50 people injured.
The establishments located close to the blast site were damaged.
The explosion took place near lifestyle retail chain Aarong's Moghbazar showroom and the Fire Service was informed at around 7:35 pm, Md Babul, station officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, told Dhaka Tribune.
!4 fire-tenders were rushed to douse the flame.
The cause of the blast is unknown, IBNS reported.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Shafiqul Islam told Dhaka Tribune: "We also have information about at least 50 people being injured in the incident."
