Be Sensible, Say Merci Beaucoup
Wear your mask, keep your distance, be Sensible
Wear your mask, keep your distance, be Sensible
But, remember life is still mortal, be Sensible,
We’re not going to live, eternally, that’s sure
Be one with the mind, be Sensible.
The news plays havoc, that’s the Media’s role
Not saying they’re guilty of bartering their gentle soul,
Just doing their jobs, some partiality maybe
But, on the whole...... well! On the whole!!!
Care we must take and all necessary care
Ensure, we don’t pass the virus around everywhere,
Take our “meds”, breathe well and exercise restraint
Don’t go out, unmasked, even if god’s there.
Let’s try doing the “future’s leap”
Like the silly Leap Year,
Let’s live in the past and the future, dear
For the present, shed the odd tear.
Don’t let yourself be weighed down
The shoulders have enough to carry,
If you run into a Meghan somewhere
Ask her, “where’s Harry “.
The family called Royal, haven’t a clue
Of the blood that’s now more red and less blue,
If you get an answer that makes sense
Be sensible, just say “merci beaucoup”.
“ De rien” is a nice response
For, nothing is never not nice,
If you can’t figure that out
Try whisky with some Ice.
Be Sensible.
