Roses in bloom, Daffodils besides
The colour Blue, the rising tides,
Stars above, the sands below
The Moon shining in your eyes,
Where else is Heaven, look within
Why look at those empty skies,
If a hand is, then, in your hands
That, my friends, is where Heaven, lies,
Desiderata, the Heart cries.

If, it’s desert sands so be it
So long as the heart is well-lit,
The Dromedary with you, your “humsafar”
Then Time, moves slowly, bit by bit,
Swirling winds and dark nights
Mirages, too, are starlit,
Is this Heaven or is it ?
Desiderata, the Heart cries
And, the heart, my friends
It, seldom lies.

Heaven lies in the Valleys, too
In the colour Green and the awesome Blue
Where, waters flow and streams are dreams
Where, all you see is always, true,
The hand of Man nowhere in sight
Where, things you do, you never rue,
Where, the dark ain’t dark for the light within
It shows the way to both, Me and You.

Desiderata, cries the Heart,
Look within, not without,
Heaven, lies there,
So, why look elsewhere.
