O Destiny, Unveil Thyself
Destiny, O Destiny, unveil thyself
Destiny, O Destiny, unveil thyself
Unravel the mysteries that lie inside,
Uncertainties, I know, take boredom away
But, tell me if Time is still on my side.
Are there storms ahead that I don’t see
Or, calm waters that my boat will sail,
Will even keel be my ride, for
Life’s been much of a fairy tale.
The ups and downs, the vagaries of life
Periods of struggle and moments of strife,
All these, and then for a long time now
Sheathed, thank heavens, lies the carving knife.
Long is the distance from shore to shore
That we all have to, willy- nilly, undertake,
Gentle waters, blue skies and the Sun
Of these we must, the best use make.
“The quality of Mercy is not strained”
Who knows this better than the eyes that with Heaven plead,
Seeking pardon and mercy for the trespasses of life’s journey
Gratefully grasping whatever’s bestowed, true Mercy, indeed.
