Oh! My Valley, Was A Deep Green
I see the Valley, a Deep Green
I see the Valley, a Deep Green
Time, winged by perfumed breeze,
No one sad, no one mean
My paths lined by Apple trees,
I see my valley, a Deep Green.
That, then was playful childhood
The only sounds, giggles and laughter,
Tarzan, my pal and so Robin Hood
All else came, but a long time after,
I see my valley, a Deep Green.
No clouds around, the skies all blue
Nights all clear, the stars shone bright,
Nothing fake ‘cause Life was true
Darkness carried its very own light,
I see my Valley, a Deep Green.
Fun and frolic, the daytime theme
Snow-clad mountains and the lakes,
Eyes that saw a constant dream
Heaven at hand, with Strawberry cakes,
I see my Valley, a Deep Green.
The song of Life must joyful be
Footsteps all must come and go,
Don’t try and solve each mystery
“Why does Time so quickly, flow”.
Dream of dreams that come to you
Shikara rides and wild flowers
They, know what is really true
Reality, seems like spent hours.
I dream of my Valley of long ago
The face lights up, there’s a magical glow,
Within and without, everywhere
As it flits across my mind, the show,
I, still see my Valley, a Very Deep Green.
