Sustainability is the “pet” word today
Yet, no one has the faintest clue
Of what it is or what it implies
And, what really does it really do.

When the world’s at constant war with itself
Willy-nilly, perpetually, And, a ravaged
Earth is all around us
Then pray, tell me, what is Sustainability?

Slogans all we love to chant
Hymns, lost in the passage of Time,
Hypocrisy the new game in town
Look what we’ve done with the thing called  “clime”.

Fires on their own that we call wild
Tsunamis, that hit  the~once silent shore,
Stars that shone in the skies above
Now veiled by Skyscrapers and more

If we wish to focus on Sustainability, folks
Let’s, try safeguarding Humanity,
Let's adorn this word of no consequence
With some degree of credibility, Amen!
