There Is No Fighter Like A Hungry Fighter
There is no fighter like a hungry fighter
There is no fighter like a hungry fighter
A lessonI I learned,, a long time ago,
Time the teacher, things around grey
Nothing much was then, aglow
Except, the Sun that daily shone
But, with a veil of clouds for me,
Why the silver lining chose to hide
Was, for me, a true mystery
But, the “why me” thought i kept away
For, Destiny I question not,
It only got me where I was destined
All else, the dated poppycock.
But, strange are the ways of Fate, we know
Its smiles ironical, its paths unknown
The Sun, it’s face nightly hides
The blind are the true light, shown.
Never give up, never say die, for
A hanging sword needs no invite,
Its whims and fancies and chosen times
Are not within our sight
So, a hungry fighter is the true warrior
Belief, the anchor supreme,
I never let the lurking shadows
Interrupt my beautiful dream.
Nightmares only come and go
Our dreams stay with us,
Keep dreaming folks, as long as you can
Even , when you’ve boarded life’s last bus.
