The Tragedy of Life

You are only confined by the walls you, foolishly, build yourself

You are only confined by the walls you, foolishly, build yourself
For, those that others build are all prone to circumvention,
They can be broken down by good sense and damages contained
No need for any breakages, no daring intervention.

Be true to yourself and to your visions alive always
So long as you stay grounded and close to reality,
We’re not not designed to roam the skies unaided
As are birds with wings and feathers flapping noiselessly.

Live with less of everything except Love
Let that flow through all things, big and small,
You’ll never regret it, remorse will find no place within you
You’ll never need to stoop, ‘cause you’ll always stand tall.

The bane of life today is the backseat that fellowship takes
As there must be some to exploit and ruthlessly,
It’s a world of the few, for the few, the rest left to rue
Their destinies, and the demands that hunger makes inevitably.

Sad, tragic, horrific and, sometimes, ghastly
But alas, True.
