The Eternal Quest for Answers

When Autumn says a tearful bye
The snows will beckon you
And then, you’ll ask for Spring,
The voice of Change
Is eternal
O tiny, little, Earthling.

Why ever be content
Now, sadly, the prescribed
Lesson,
Strive for more
‘Tis all about striving
How misplaced, Life’s Mission.

Were we sent here
To achieve and then
Triumphantly return,
Or
As it appears today
To loot and violently, burn.

Tell us, why don’t you
O Preacher
With greater clarity,
Why we’re here
Is there a purpose
Who has the lock and key.

Haunted is Man
By the absence of answers
But, it’s all blank pages,
For each one to fill
As he or she likes
Or, listen to the old Sages.

Questions, questions, questions galore
How many will you ask
How many more,
Who knows when placidity
When storms will hit
The, eternally, waiting shore.

Wonder if the Sun knows
Where it will be
Tonight,
Does it know
If the Morrow
Will bring the same Light.

Wisdom seems to suggest
That Time knows
What is best,
Wonder
If Time too
Wonders, what comes next.

Wonder, Ponder
Do what you like
Spend not Time on questions,
When answers you will not get
Why waste Time
On presumptions.

Live it as it unfolds
Life, is but
A Book,
Each page is new as is each Day
Wise, the one
Who never a page, forsook.
